“A fair result was a draw”

After the match “Sabah” - “Qarabag” of the XVI round of the Misli Premier League (1:1), a press conference was held by our team’s head coach Gurban Gurbanov. The experienced specialist shared his thoughts on the match:

“I would like to thank my players. Especially towards the end, the football was in the dynamics I wanted. I would have divided the game into two halves. The tempo was low in the first half and at the beginning of the second half. The opponent also played with a different squad from the first minutes and chose a different style of play. It was as if our players got used to that tempo. It was necessary to increase the speed and dynamics of the ball. However, in the second half, the tempo gradually increased. After the changes, football became more interesting for the fans. Both teams could have won. Perhaps a fair result was a draw.”

The head coach attributed the frequent changes in the squad to their tight schedule: “We have a tough schedule, we play games every three days, we go on away trips. "Since it's the end of the year, players inevitably feel tired. The reason we are making changes to the squad is to protect players from possible injuries. The pace is different in European cups. We also don't want any player to lose their rhythm."
