AGDAM SHOULD HAVE BEEN DEFENDED...
Agdam looked like an unassailable fortress in Garabagh. Armenians who was aware of Agdamians’ brave, patriotism, strong will since the time of Armenia-Muslim war and they couldn’t even approach the fortress. It’s too pity that the treachery and treason opened this way to the enemy. Shirin Mustafayev, National Hero an excellent warrior known not only in Agdam, in Garabagh, but also in Azerbaijan was also killed because of treachery. Hi death let loose hands of the Armenians. As a result Agdam was aggressed. Our great leader Haydar Aliyev said about this loss with heart-ache: “In 1988 aggression of Armenia to Azerbaijan began and was aimed to Agdam. This is natural because Armenians who lived in Upper Garabagh were in touch with Agdam and knew what it was properly. From the point of view of strategy Agdam was a very important strategic point to resist Armenia. Agdam should have been defended, kept, saved.”....
The will, thoughts, aim is directed in the direction. They are optimistic. They believe in getting the territories back and their returning to home lands. Writing these words I remember the words of the head of executive power of Agdam Mr. Hasan Sarıyev: “to live without Agdam is too difficult. This is harder grief than the Agdamians’ personnel problems. We are like son without father like wife without husband. But we have never been happy and we will never accept it as a doom and we will never give up”.
Recently events taking place in international scene – getting to know Azerbaijan’s just cause by world society show that the day of returning of Agdamians to their home lands isn’t so far and that their all troubles will come to an end.
