ASLAN KARİMOV: "OUR MOST MAIN DUTY IS TO PLAY A BEAUTIFUL FOOTBALL!"

Aslan Karimov was born in 1973 in Baku. The reason for becoming a professional footballer was his great interest for football since his childhood. "Termist" club of Baku was his first professional club. Afterwards he wore the uniforms of “Azeri”, "Garabagh", “Neftchi”, “Kapaz", “Ans-Pivani”, “Shamkir” clubs then tried himself in the personnel of "Baltika" club (Russia) as a legionary. Aslan is a fivefold Champion of Azerbaijan and has worn the uniform in 269 matches up to now. For this time our site’s guest is Aslan Karimov. - The championship has already started and two rounds have passed. What do you think about these matches? - We played well in the match with «Turan». The result must have been a draw at least. In the second time we could even have won by scoring a goal. We held an equal game with «Neftchi». In spite of that we were ahead in the score they managed to equal the score. - Many didn’t expect our club to show a game like this… - The team has been reformed. Comparing to the last year the situation in the club is much better now. Newcomers are good footballers. Our aim is the same as well: to leave every game with a victory. But the task given to us by the management is to win a card to Euro Cup. Our coach is Youngman. We believe he will be a success. There will be a personnel signature of «Garabagh» in this championship. - Your best remembering match.... - There are a lot of remembering matches. The match with Polish when I played against Zelinsky after gaining independence by our Republic. As they say I showed a good game in this match... -Were there times you wanted to give up the football? -Yes. "Garabagh" received "Neftchi" in Sumgayit. We won 1:0. I played against Samir Alakbarov. The score was equaled in the last minutes of the match when Samir scored a goal and the match ended in a draw. After this I wanted to leave the football. Thanks to Mr.Agasalim. He returned me to the football… -At the end your ideas about "Garabagh".... - Despite of the fact that some of the leading footballers of the last personnel left the newly grouped personnel looks no bad. The last two matches prove what I say. In the first round having no practice showed itself but in the next rounds this problem will be solved and "Garabagh" will say its word.
