Bahlul Mustafazade achieved a historic first

Qarabağ FC defender Bahlul Mustafazade has made history. He became the first Azerbaijani footballer to score a goal in the main stages of the UEFA Champions League.

Our defender achieved this feat in Matchday 7 of the league phase, scoring the winning goal in the 3–2 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt (Germany).

This goal was the 15th scored by Qarabağ FC, as well as by Azerbaijani clubs overall, in the main stages of the UEFA Champions League. The previous 14 goals were scored by foreign players.

It should also be noted that Mustafazade’s goal was the 150th goal scored by Azerbaijani clubs in total in the UEFA Champions League qualification rounds and main stages.
