“Qarabağ” has played its next match, competing in the first leg of the Azerbaijan Cup semifinal.

Gurban Gurbanov's team faced "Araz-Nakhchivan" as the away side. The match took place at “Liv Bona Dea Arena” with our team fielding the following lineup: 97. Fabian Buntic, 24. Aleksei Isaev, 13. The game began with mutual attacking attempts. Since it was the first match of the tie, both teams were cautious. As the minutes passed, our players took control of possession, but the opponent's defense remained solid. Both sides struggled to create clear goal-scoring opportunities in the first half. The deadlock was broken in the 28th minute when the hosts scored from the penalty spot.

The second half saw our team dominate possession. Pushing the opposition back into their own half, our players launched several attacks in search of an equalizer. However, the opponent's goalkeeper made crucial saves, while in other moments, our finishing lacked precision. Ultimately, the match ended with a 1-0 victory for "Araz-Nakhchivan."

It should be noted that the second leg between the teams will take place on April 23.
