Our team played its first friendly match as part of the training camp held in Antalya, Türkiye. “Qarabağ”’s first opponent of 2026 was Uzbekistan’s “Neftchi” club.

The match against the Fergana-based side took place at the Gloria Sports Arena in the Belek region. Our team started the game with the following lineup:

The match was dominated by our team, which was also reflected on the scoreboard. “Qarabağ” scored four goals in the first half. Marko Janković netted twice, while Leandro Andrade and Joni Montiel scored one goal each.

The pattern of the game did not change in the second half. Continuing their attacking play, our team added one more goal, with Nariman Akhundzade finding the back of the net.

As a result, “Qarabağ” secured a 5–0 victory in the friendly match. Our team will play its next game on January 16. The match against Poland’s “Zagłębie Lubin” will kick off at 6:00 PM (7:00 PM Baku time).
