“It was an important game for us”

Following the Zira – Qarabağ match (1:3), held within the framework of the 24th round of the Misli Premier League, a press conference was held by our team’s head coach, Qurban Qurbanov. The experienced specialist shared his thoughts on the game:

“I congratulate my players. There was very good fighting spirit and intensity on the pitch. It was an important match for us. We were up against a very motivated team that had analyzed us well. They did not give up until the end and did not allow us to play comfortably. I would also like to thank the fans of both teams. We are still a bit far from our optimal form and have not fully recovered yet. Our players lost a lot of energy in every Champions League match, and the team became psychologically very tired. It has been a demanding season. I believe they will be better prepared for the upcoming matches. After the national team games, we will once again start playing in a tight schedule. Nevertheless, we will try to prepare the players as best as possible so that they can adapt to this busy schedule.”
