Our team played its last match in the Europa League

Qarabağ played its final European competition match of the 2024/2025 season. Gurban Gurbanov’s team participated in their eighth match of the Europa League group stage. Our team visited the Greek club Olympiacos at the "Georgios Karaiskakis" Stadium in Piraeus.

The match started at a high tempo. Both teams were eager to attack, and fast-paced plays followed one another. Despite facing the reigning UEFA Europa Conference League champions away, our players fearlessly launched attacks and frequently challenged the opposing goalkeeper. However, either the defenders intervened at the last moment, or the goalkeeper made excellent saves to keep his team from conceding. The dynamic and high-intensity match continued until halftime, but neither side managed to break the deadlock.

The second half began in a similar fashion. However, the home team managed to score two goals in quick succession. Despite our team increasing its attacking pressure afterward, the efforts did not yield a goal. In the final minutes, Olympiacos found the net once more, securing a 3-0 victory.

Thus, our team concluded the Europa League group stage with 3 points.
