Our U-19 team took part in a social initiative

UEFA has allocated financial support to the academy of Qarabağ Football Club within the framework of the UEFA Youth League. The allocated funds are aimed at supporting the social engagement of young footballers.

The financial support amounting to EUR 1,000 has been provided as part of UEFA’s youth football support mechanisms. Such payments are intended to enhance the off-the-pitch social and mental development of players participating in the Youth League.

Qarabağ Football Club has used the allocated funds in accordance with their intended purpose. At the same time, the club consistently implements initiatives aimed at fostering social responsibility and community integration among young footballers not only within international programmes, but also through its own initiatives and partnerships.

Within this framework, members of the club’s partner organisation “Qarabağ Mechack 9030” (the first and only team from Azerbaijan and the Caucasus to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition, with the mission of developing young people in STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics - representing the country in international competitions and enhancing its intellectual image), consisting of children with physical disabilities, held a friendly meeting with the Academy’s U-19 team.

During the meeting, the guests had the opportunity to get to know the academy players more closely, learn about their training environment and experience the football atmosphere firsthand. This meeting also proved to be a valuable experience for our young footballers in terms of social responsibility and inclusivity.

At the end of the event, gifts were presented to the members of the “Qarabağ Mechack 9030” team on behalf of the academy, followed by a commemorative group photo.

It should be noted that the UEFA Youth League is a prestigious competition bringing together the academies of Europe’s leading clubs, where not only sporting performance but also social responsibility and the overall development of young players are given special attention. UEFA provides participating clubs with financial and methodological support of various scales in this regard.

In recent years, Qarabağ FK has identified the development of its academy as one of the key pillars of its club strategy and makes use of the support received within UEFA programmes in a way that serves the long-term development of young footballers.
