Qarabağ secures an away victory

Qarabağ played its latest match in the 26th round of the Misli Premier League, facing Araz-Nakhchivan away.

The match at Liv Bona Dea Arena started at a high tempo, with Qarabağ nearly opening the score in the 1st minute through Kady Borges. Throughout the first half, Nariman Akhundzade (twice), Abdellah Zoubir, Leandro Andrade, and Yassine Benzia all had scoring opportunities, but the opposing goalkeeper made crucial saves. However, in the 35th minute, the home team took the lead. Qarabağ responded just before halftime, with Nariman Akhundzade scoring the equalizer.

 

The second half was also dominated by Qarabağ, with the team maintaining control of possession. The continuous attacks paid off in the 77th minute, when Nariman Akhundzade provided a brilliant assist, finished precisely by Leandro Andrade. This goal took Andrade’s tally to 11 goals in the domestic league, further strengthening his lead in the top scorers' race. The final blow came in the sixth minute of stoppage time, when Emmanuel Addai sealed the victory, making it 3:1 for Qarabağ.

 

With this win, the league-leading Qarabağ increased its total points to 63.

 

Next match: Qarabağ will face Kəpəz away on March 15 in the next round of the national championship.
