Qurban Qurbanov: “The players are eager”

Our team faced “Neftchi” (Fergana, Uzbekistan) in its first friendly match as part of the training camp held in Türkiye. Head coach Qurban Qurbanov shared his thoughts after our team’s 5–0 victory:

“It was our first match. Overall, the preparation is going quite well. We would like to have a bit more time. We have another match scheduled for January 16. We would have liked to play one more friendly game, but unfortunately, we don’t have enough time.

The players are eager and have regained their rhythm. At the end of the year, they were very tired, but now they have somewhat returned to their previous form and love for football.

It’s true that Aleksey Kashuk and Toral Bayramov were sidelined from training for a few days, but overall the preparation is proceeding according to plan. We had also watched our opponent’s matches. They had slightly changed their system, and I considered their style of play to be quite normal.”
