Qurban Qurbanov: “We achieved a very important victory”

Following the Round XX Misli Premier League match between İmişli and Qarabağ (0:1), a press conference was held by our team’s head coach Qurban Qurbanov. The experienced specialist shared his thoughts on the game:

“I would like to thank my players — they achieved a very important victory. I also want to thank our fans who came from Baku to support us, as well as all the people of Quba. The team was welcomed very warmly, and they supported us throughout the match.”

The head coach also commented on the first leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off round against England’s Newcastle United, scheduled for February 18:

“Newcastle are a fast and physically strong team. Against them, you need to play quickly and handle the ball at a very high level. Unfortunately, in our last two matches, our players were subjected to the load of four matches. Nevertheless, we have experience, and we will prepare.”
