Qurban Qurbanov: "We Need to Be More Careful"

After the 19th round match of the Misli Premier League between Qarabağ and Shamakhi (3:2), our head coach, Qurban Qurbanov, held a press conference. The experienced specialist shared his thoughts on the match:

"We have started the second half of the championship. It wasn’t easy to play a fast, dynamic, and entertaining game since it was the first match after the winter break. However, we secured an important victory. I’d like to thank each of our fans who supported us in the cold weather. Conceding two goals was concerning. Such simple goals shouldn’t be allowed. Sometimes, conceding goals in matches like this can serve as a valuable lesson. We need to be more attentive during the game."

The head coach also commented on the upcoming UEFA Europa League group stage match against Romania’s FCSB on January 23: "The Romanian club is a very tough opponent. They have a disciplined playing style and the ability to defend with ten players in the middle of the field. They are physically strong, transition quickly to counterattacks, and effectively utilize set pieces. They play purely for results, like a true European team. Nonetheless, we will strive to be more active in the upcoming match."
