The “Qarabag Mechack 9030” team participated in an international competition

The “Qarabag Mechack 9030” robotics team has achieved strong results in international tournaments held as part of one of the world’s most prestigious engineering competitions, the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC).

It should be noted that the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is considered one of the most prestigious robotics competitions globally. One of the project’s founders and key partners is the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Each year, on the first Saturday of January, NASA announces the competition theme, and participating teams design and build their robots in accordance with the given challenge.

This year, the “Qarabag Mechack 9030” team took part in the “Gotham Regional” and “New York Regional” tournaments held in the United States.

At the “Gotham Regional,” the team competed among 39 teams in a highly competitive environment and successfully secured a place in the top 15.

The results are also noteworthy in terms of both individual and team achievements. Two members of the team stood out in the Leadership category and advanced to the final stage.

In addition, the team’s mentor advanced to the final stage of the prestigious Woodie Flowers Award, which once again highlights the important role of mentorship in the team’s development.

The achievements of the “Qarabag Mechack 9030” team not only demonstrate its growing reputation on the international stage but also serve as a clear example of its contribution to the development of robotics and STEM fields in Azerbaijan.
