From the beginning of the match at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, our players fought without fear against a strong opponent. Both teams tried to impose a fast-paced style of play. At certain moments, our team even outperformed Napoli in terms of play. Despite the balanced battle, no goals were scored in the first half.
Fans witnessed an exciting contest in the second half as well. Both sides searched for goals through fast attacks. In the 56th minute, our goalkeeper Mateusz Kochalski brilliantly saved the opponent’s penalty kick. However, ten minutes later, the home side managed to break the deadlock. Napoli scored once more in the remaining minutes to secure a 2:0 victory.
Our team currently has 7 points.
It should be noted that Qarabağ will play its next match in the tournament on December 10 against the Dutch club Ajax. The match will take place at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium and will kick off at 21:45.
