Vassell Completes City Move

Manchester City have completed the signing of Aston Villa striker Darius Vassell for £2 million. The England international only had a year left on his contract with the Midlands outfit, and manager David O’Leary felt he needed a new challenge elsewhere. Manchester City are rebuilding following the sale of Shaun Wright-Phillips to Chelsea and have also signed Andy Cole. Vassell will join up with the City squad for training on Wednesday.
