“We defeated a willing team”

After the match “Sabail” - “Qarabag” of the XIV round of the Misli Premier League (0:3), a press conference was held by the head coach of our team, Gurban Gurbanov. The experienced specialist expressed his thoughts on the match:

“I congratulate my players and fans. It was very important to win today. The opponent was better organized in the first half. Since “Sabail” has a different style of play, it created difficulties for us. The field factor also prevented us from showing a better quality game. But our players fought until the end. Well, we defeated a willing team”.

The head coach also made a statement about the latest situation in the team before the home match against the French club “Lyon” on November 28 in the League stage of the UEFA Europa League: “We were together for the first time after the break due to the games of the national teams. We have little time. We will have two, maximum three training sessions before the match with “Lyon”. We will have a good preparation with the players at our disposal. There may be some physical deficiencies. But we will try to bring the team to full readiness in the game plan. Because “Lion” is a team that handles the ball very well and has a unique style of play. The skill level of their players is also high. We will introduce the opponent to our players more closely.”
