“We will try to play with courage”

Ahead of the UEFA Champions League play-off match between Qarabağ and Newcastle United, our head coach Qurban Qurbanov and forward Kamilo Duran held a press conference. The experienced coach shared his thoughts on tomorrow’s match:

“This is a game where we can gain a great deal of experience. Playing in the Champions League play-off stage is a first in Azerbaijani football history. In particular, we will face an established club like Newcastle, a team from the world’s top league. We had little time to prepare for the match, but overall our players are very responsible and excited. They are eagerly looking forward to tomorrow’s match. Each of them aims to deliver one of their best performances. On our home ground, in front of our fans, we will try to fight well and play intelligently and bravely. I believe our players will do their best to show themselves in a positive light.”

Forward Kamilo Duran also expressed his determination to delight the fans:

“We are aware that a historic and challenging game awaits us. We will play in front of our home fans and face a very strong opponent. We will do everything possible to make our fans happy and achieve a successful result.”
