Zoubir scores 50th league goal

Qarabağ midfielder Abdellah Zoubir has scored his 50th goal in the Azerbaijan Premier League. The French midfielder reached this milestone during Matchday 8 of the Misli Premier League, finding the net in the 2:1 away victory against Turan Tovuz.

Zoubir reached the 50-goal mark in his 193rd league appearance. Having scored all his goals for Qarabağ, he became the 42nd player to score 50 or more goals in the top tier of Azerbaijani football.

Overall, Zoubir has now scored 72 goals in 325 appearances across all competitions for Qarabağ. With this tally, he has moved up to second place on the club’s all-time scorers list, surpassing Mahir Emreli, who had 71 goals. Zoubir trails only Mushfig Huseynov, the club’s all-time top scorer with 159 goals.
